Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy establishes requirements for the responsible use of Lindy Technology Group web hosting services and infrastructure.
Effective Date: October 6, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all web hosting services provided by Lindy Technology Group (“LTG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This AUP is incorporated into LTG's Web Hosting Terms of Service. By using LTG hosting services, customers agree to comply with this policy.
1. Lawful Use
LTG hosting services may be used only for lawful purposes. Customers may not use LTG systems to create, store, distribute, facilitate, or promote material or activity that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their websites, applications, files, communications, and other use of LTG services comply with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Spam and Email Abuse
Customers may not use LTG services to send unsolicited bulk email, spam, fraudulent messages, phishing messages, or other abusive or deceptive communications.
Prohibited email activity includes, but is not limited to:
- Sending unsolicited commercial or bulk email;
- Using purchased, harvested, scraped, or otherwise unauthorized mailing lists;
- Sending email using forged, misleading, or deceptive sender information;
- Operating phishing or credential-harvesting campaigns;
- Continuing to send messages to recipients who have reasonably requested removal; and
- Using a compromised account, script, website, or device to distribute spam or malicious email.
Customers whose activity causes or contributes to an LTG server or IP address being blocklisted may be required to correct the underlying issue before email service is restored.
3. Malware, Phishing, and Compromised Accounts
Customers may not knowingly host, distribute, install, or facilitate malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, malicious scripts, phishing pages, credential-stealing tools, or other harmful software or content.
If LTG determines that a website, mailbox, application, or hosting account has been compromised, LTG may take immediate action to protect the server and other customers. This may include disabling affected files, restricting access, changing credentials, suspending email, quarantining content, or temporarily suspending the hosting account.
Customers are responsible for correcting vulnerabilities and compromised software within their accounts. Remediation, cleanup, restoration, or other work performed by LTG outside the scope of the hosting service may be billable.
4. Network and Security Abuse
Customers may not use LTG services to interfere with, disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to computers, networks, accounts, or services.
Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:
- Unauthorized network or vulnerability scanning;
- Brute-force attacks or credential attacks;
- Denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks;
- Unauthorized access or attempted access to systems or accounts;
- Distribution or operation of malicious code or botnets;
- Deliberate exploitation of software or network vulnerabilities; and
- Activity intended to circumvent security controls or access restrictions.
5. Server and Resource Abuse
LTG hosting plans operate in a shared hosting environment. Customers must use server resources in a manner that does not unreasonably interfere with the performance, security, or availability of services for other customers.
Hosting accounts are subject to the resource allocations of the customer's purchased plan, including applicable CPU, memory, storage, bandwidth, process, database, email, and other limits.
Activity that repeatedly or substantially affects overall server performance may require configuration changes, remediation, an upgraded hosting plan, or migration to a service better suited to the customer's requirements.
LTG may temporarily restrict processes or services when necessary to protect server stability.
6. Prohibited Server Applications and Activities
Shared web hosting accounts may not be used to operate services or applications that create unreasonable security, network, storage, or computing demands for a shared hosting environment.
Unless specifically authorized by LTG, prohibited uses include:
- Cryptocurrency mining;
- Public proxy, VPN, or anonymization services;
- Botnets or command-and-control services;
- Continuous high-load computational workloads;
- Public file-sharing or file-distribution services primarily intended for bulk downloads;
- Applications designed primarily to attack, scan, exploit, or disrupt third-party systems; and
- Other applications that LTG determines are unsuitable for its shared hosting environment.
7. Storage and File Use
Web hosting storage is intended primarily for files and data associated with websites, email, databases, and applications hosted through the customer's LTG account.
Hosting accounts may not be used primarily as general-purpose online storage, personal backup storage, archival storage, or a file repository unrelated to the websites or services hosted on the account.
Large archives, backup sets, media collections, or other files that create excessive storage or backup demands may need to be removed or stored using a service designed for that purpose.
8. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Customers may not knowingly use LTG services to infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Customers are responsible for obtaining appropriate rights, licenses, or permissions for content they publish or distribute through their hosting accounts.
LTG may respond to valid legal notices or infringement complaints as required by applicable law.
9. Fraudulent or Deceptive Activity
LTG services may not be used for fraud, impersonation, phishing, deceptive commercial practices, credential theft, or other activity intended to mislead or unlawfully obtain information, property, services, or money from another person or organization.
10. Account and Credential Security
Customers are responsible for maintaining reasonable security for hosting accounts, websites, email accounts, and other services under their control.
Passwords and credentials should not be knowingly shared with unauthorized parties. Customers should promptly notify LTG when they become aware of unauthorized access or a suspected compromise affecting an LTG-hosted service.
LTG may require password changes or other security measures when necessary to protect an account or hosting infrastructure.
11. IP and Network Reputation
Customers may not engage in activity that damages or creates an unreasonable risk to the reputation of LTG's servers, domains, networks, or IP addresses.
This includes activity resulting in spam complaints, abuse reports, malware warnings, blocklisting, or other reputation problems.
LTG may restrict the affected service immediately when necessary to prevent or limit damage to shared infrastructure or other customers.
12. Resale and Unauthorized Third-Party Use
Customers may not resell, sublicense, or provide their hosting account to unrelated third parties as a commercial hosting service unless LTG has specifically authorized such use.
Customers remain responsible for all activity conducted through their account, including activity performed by employees, contractors, website administrators, or other authorized users.
13. Investigations and Cooperation
LTG may investigate suspected violations of this AUP, security incidents, abuse reports, or other activity that may threaten its customers or infrastructure.
Customers are expected to reasonably cooperate with LTG when action is necessary to resolve a security, abuse, or operational issue involving their account.
14. Enforcement
LTG will generally attempt to work with customers to correct policy violations when circumstances permit.
Depending on the severity and urgency of an issue, LTG may warn the customer, restrict a service, disable email transmission, quarantine files, suspend an account, or terminate service.
Restoration of a restricted or suspended service may require the customer to correct the underlying issue and may require billable technical or remediation work when that work falls outside the scope of the customer's hosting plan.
15. Changes to This Policy
LTG may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in technology, security practices, infrastructure, legal requirements, or the services LTG provides.
The current version will be published on the LTG website with its effective or updated date.
